If the trend of cameras is rather compact, the smartphone is the large screens. The two do not go together logically, and “smart cameras” Samsung is a good symbol: the Galaxy Camera is more thicker than the compact tablet and the new Galaxy K Zoom is substantially larger than the previous Galaxy S4 Zoom.
It suffers from a perfected design with a mini-handle end and a catchy little late than where the bulky lens barrel housing. If it adds a steering zoom ring, it creates a particularly troublesome asperity to slide the device in a pocket or a bag out.
- At the same scale, Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom (top) and K Galaxy Zoom . (bottom)
K Zoom, Samsung was first grown in thickness: the camera no more than 20.2 mm, instead of 28 S4 Zoom . This is even more interesting if the zoom ring disappears, the goal remains the same 24-240 mm: for a smartphone is simply enormous
Other dimensions are revised upwards: K Zoom is 12 mm high and 7 mm wider than the S4 Zoom. Involved, mainly: the integration of a larger screen, a Super AMOLED 4.8 “1280×720 pxl cash, which replaces the LCD 4.3″ to improve reading comfort. Incidentally, the screen is suddenly similar to the Galaxy Camera in a much more compact …
This is not the only improvement on the K Zoom, which adopts a six processor hearts (four efficient for normal applications and two powerful activated if necessary) becomes compatible with the sensors S-Health and receives a little more generous battery and increased internal memory 8GB picture side, the sensor reaches 20 Mpxl, which should not actually change much, and the most notable is probably the ability to separate exhibition area and focus area, such as the NX30.
The Galaxy K Zoom will be available in June for less than 500 €: this is a high price for a compact 10x zoom and a 4.8 “smartphone, but a bargain compared to buying two separate devices …
