The Samsung Galaxy Gear does not unanimous, it is a fact. Between its perfected finish, autonomy and limitations relating to its application, one can even say that the device is shunned by mobile users. Sales figures are not yet known, of course, but the retail chain Best Buy has recorded a return rate of about 30% . A buyer has reduced its three shows for the reimbursement. Not very flattering, of course, but the trend could quickly reverse and it is even possible that you leave quickly try. Why? Because Custom ROMS to begin entering the Gear
Android is not without strengths and its greatest strength, from my point of view, these are the different possibilities offered by the platform for ROMS. With a little motivation and free time, it is actually possible to replace the platform solutions developed by other mobile users, and thus give a second life to our or our smartphone touch pad.
The Galaxy Gear is perhaps a watch connected, but it also runs on Android. In theory, then it is perfectly possible to create custom ROMs for it. Fomey must be my opinion since this member of the XDA Developers community has been working on an alternative platform in recent weeks. After a few sleepless nights, he managed to get a more correct result, and he has decided to post the fruits of his labor for the benefit of the people as possible.
This ROM is built on MK7, with some specific optimizations. It is rootée and integrates very good example Nova Launcher . It will be possible to easily change the interface of his watch. We can also count on new widgets and install APK files without any limitation. Not bad, but the best is yet to come because the ROM also includes a tool that allows the watch to connect directly to the internet via its Bluetooth connection and with a hint of “tethering” behind. And that is very nice, of course.
Note however that installing ROMS always involves some risks. If you decide to go, try to do your homework. All instructions are available here, at the end of the ticket.
Thanks Thomas
