Samsung Galaxy S5: a metal frame, but not for all ... - LesMobiles.com

The Samsung Galaxy S5 will most likely available in several variants, like its predecessors. However, they could this time be different on the outside aspect, in addition to the CPU in charge of animating.

With rumors that the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S5 could be argued at the beginning of the year, already somewhat surprising to hear talk about his production. What is more surprising, however, is what he is preparing in Korean factories, according to the publication Korean ETNews . Indeed, the Galaxy could S5 out in two variants.

Nothing unusual

well so far, one would as usual based on a home processor Exynos probably a 64-bit, and the other on a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon probably 805. More unusual, the differences between these two models could extend this time, since one frame is made of metal and the other plastic. The article does not specify which processor would in any frame. Rumors dating this summer, Samsung has already had some troubles with production initiated too late, metal structures intended to guide its Galaxy Note 3. Problems that delay was thought previously rather reserved for its chips.

A premium design, but for a handful of users only

could therefore rather keep the metal frame for the Galaxy S5 under Exynos, and so play it safe with the Snapdragon. Moreover, it has always been a backup solution, as when we had the Galaxy S3 build a 4G modem or save the launch of the Galaxy S4. Such a choice would however regrettable insofar as this spare wheel is usually the most common model, and it thus depriving the largest number of the most anticipated on the high-end Samsung models improvement: design truly premium. A variant with a flexible screen was also discussed.

As for performance, the two variants have always been at the same level and it will probably still the case with an otherwise identical configuration. This would include a definition qHD screen (2560 x 1440 pixels), 3GB of RAM, a 16 megapixel digital camera, a 2 megapixel webcam, or a battery of 4000 mAh.
