A surprising concept Galaxy S7 Edge based on the latest … – Phonandroid

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are expected to make their arrival in January for a release in February. And according to the latest noise corridor, the Korean would have planned to replace the 6013 aluminum used in the Galaxy S6 and its variants from a magnesium alloy, both lighter and stronger, and could even use a glass protection home instead of Gorilla Glass 4.

More recently, one could discover a Patent Office, describing a new type of curved screen not on the sides but on the top and bottom.

Today, a team of designers offers us a first concept of the Galaxy S7 Edge based on this patent. The idea is rather original and overall quite successful. As you can see in these images, the spotlight is left to metal since glass is present only on the front and curved edges. As in the drawings of the patent used to develop this concept, the phone supports a trapezoidal , completely atypical.

Based on these images, we still ask where are the boundaries of the screen. Because the front camera, the main earpiece and proximity and light sensors are always placed in the same portion, one imagines badly display span the upper area, by contrast, on the bottom edge, it would be possible, although it would require that Samsung sacrificed its traditional home button , which also functions as fingerprint reader on selected models, but is it really possible?

Technically speaking, this is probably not tomorrow the day that such a form factor may emerge. However, we highlight the work of designers who have been able to provide work consistent with the last curved screen Samsung patent, and frighteningly aesthetics.
