Technology: According to stress tests conducted by the U.S. insurance company SquareTrade, the newest Samsung smartphones is more fragile than its predecessor, the Galaxy S3 and especially his great rival the iPhone 5.
SquareTrade, an American company specializing in insurance for mobile terminals (smartphones, tablets, laptops), just take a stir by saying that the Samsung Galaxy S4 presents a greater risk of breakage as the Galaxy S3 and especially the Apple iPhone 5.
In reaching this conclusion, SquareTrade evaluated the characteristics of the models involved as the design of their front and rear, the materials used, the weight, the grip, the water tightness. Every smartphone has also been subjected to a drop test. On a scale of 1 to 10, the Galaxy S4 got a 7, which classifies it as a mobile “dangerous” in terms of risk of accidental breakage. The S4 is especially less well behaved than its rival the iPhone 5 during the drop test. Its wider screen makes the text easy and coating the back hull considered slippery grip are considered risk factors.
Galaxy S3 ranks second in this test with a score of 6.5 with a little more solid than the S4 screen. And this is the iPhone 5, which won the comparison with a score of 5, praised especially for the quality of its grip. (Eureka Press)
