Google removes the Samsung Galaxy S4 “Google Play Edition” of … – Frandroid

Google is doing some cleaning on its Play Store and decided to withdraw the sale of the Samsung Galaxy S4 in its edition “Google Play”.

 Samsung Galaxy S4

After successive disappearances of HTC One M7, the Sony Xperia Z Ultra or LG G Pad 8.3 Play Store, the Samsung Galaxy S4 “Google Play” edition that comes from radar screens. On the online store, in its American version, it is no longer possible to control the device, and only HTC One M8 and Motorola Moto G have been able to resist the wave of cuts.

Google has provided no explanation as against the judgment of these lettings. Assumptions are numerous. Android deployments Wear, Auto Android, or Android L, have prompted Google to try to reduce its scope and its load of responsibilities. Another option is the Samsung Galaxy S4 and all other mobile withdrawn from sale, could simply no longer enough seller to Google. Thus, the Moto G remain the Play Store because it is selling very well, and the presence of One M8 is explained by a very young age.

But the most likely is that once stocks passed – and the S4 was out for a month – Google has just stopped renew. It remains to be seen whether the Mountain View firm resume experience Google Play Edition with other devices.
