Objects multiple leaks in recent weeks, the Galaxy Alpha and metallic trim are now official. The phone is especially thin and light.

Samsung ultimately did not wait for the fall to unveil the Galaxy Alpha, its new Android smartphone in size 4.7 inches (11.94 cm). It adopts a Super AMOLED screen with 1280 x 720 pixels and a small novelty from Samsung: the appearance of a metal trim that goes around the unit. South Korea, which suggests that it will take getting used to this new design element, promises a particularly slim and lightweight phone with 6.7 mm thick and only 115 grams on the scale.

configuration is built around a processor Exynos 4 + 4 cores, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage (no microSD card slot). The Galaxy Alpha controller adopts LTE-A Category 6, which will operate 4G networks amount to 300 Mb / s and comes equipped with a back-end 12 megapixel sensor, coupled with a 2.1 megapixels sensor front. Connected to a computer via USB 2.0, it has WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and an NFC chip. Its exact dimensions are 132.4 x 65.5 x 6.7 mm, with a 1860 mAh battery.

If the metal strip is new to Samsung, the rest of the design is more conventional, with back faux -leather expensive in South Korea, and a palette of various colors ranging from white to silver through the bronze. The Alpha will ship with Android version 4.4.4, enriched the usual array of Samsung apps, starting with the launcher house.

Smaller than the
Galaxy S5, this Alpha is reminiscent of how to position the Galaxy Tab S within the range of tablets from Samsung. The Super AMOLED screen that promises very good contrast and brightness, allows us to offer a particularly slim and lightweight device, supported by a high-end configuration. The Galaxy Alpha will likely be available in the coming weeks, at a price that has not yet been announced.
