CyanogenMod 13 timidly invites the Samsung Galaxy S6 – Frandroid

Shortly after the update AOSP source code to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, porting CyanogenMod began this version of the system to adapt to its alternative ROM. Today some terminals can already enjoy under beta versions more or less advanced, and others are added to the list regularly. This weekend, the Galaxy S6 that interested programmers

The CyanogenMod team is working hard to provide nightlies CM 13 on a handful of devices like the LG G3, the Nexus 6 or Motorola Moto E (2015), to name a few (forty devices is concerned) . As their name suggests, these ROM journals daily and allow to have a taste of the upcoming update for its development. For others, it takes on third-party developers, who do not hesitate to adapt the source code made available by Cyanogen on their favorite device.

So the XDA forums, there is possible to find variants of CyanogenMod 13 for many smartphones including the Samsung Galaxy S6, available since the weekend. Note that the ROM is compatible with the SM-G920F and 920i models (international), and the SM-G920S and 920k (Korean). The Galaxy S6 edge and S6 edge + however, are not affected by this firmware

Available for download on XDA, this ROM is still far from stable, and it is not recommended to download for everyday use. Indeed, apart from the bugs that might occur, many elements have not yet been fully implemented and do not work at all, as the camera, sensors, video acceleration, but not only.

Still in its infancy, this version of the ROM is only available for the weekend and essentially serves to lay the groundwork. Improvements are course to wait over the updates in the coming weeks
