Determined to reduce its dependence on its suppliers, Samsung finally use its own scanners within the touch screen of the Galaxy S7, leaving Synaptics side. This leaves any doubt about the presence on board of ClearForce technology equivalent of Force Touch, developed by Synaptics.
Unlike most of its competitors, Samsung conceives itself many of the parts we find at the heart of its smartphones : screens, photos sensors, RAM, storage modules and even processors. One way to get rid of any dependence on other companies. And this trend could increase with the Samsung Galaxy S7 as would plans to integrate its own integrated circuit for the touch screen.
If until now, Samsung’s range of tops used the solutions developed by Synaptics and ST Microelectronics, the Galaxy S7 and its Edge and Edge + variants should be equipped with a signed screen digitizer Samsung. The Korean develops its own scanners for three years now has decided to take the opportunity to integrate with its new range of smartphones. Note also that they would be the only ones to benefit from this new scanner designed specifically for them.
In addition, now that the PC with touch screen are democratizing, Samsung would also speed the production process its scanners. A policy shift that may have adverse effects on the industry because if it keeps order at Synaptics and its other suppliers, they may eventually suffer by losing an important source of income, besides Samsung become a competitor.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 should be arriving on 21 February on the eve of the opening of the MWC 2016. It is expected Exynos 8890 processor with a Snapdragon 820 or as accompanied by 4 markets GB RAM, a Super AMOLED HD Quad 5.1-inch screen, two image sensors 12 and 5 megapixels and a large 3000 mAh battery.
