Samsung Galaxy S6, first images? – ZDNet France

This is now confirmed: Samsung will unveil its new flagship device, the Galaxy S6, on Sunday, March 1st, the day before the opening of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The show will start at 18h and will be broadcast online. Obviously ZDNet.fr and our colleagues CNetfrance.fr will be present.

Many elements seem to have leaked on the terminal. It is available in two models, the first (S6) is equipped with an all-metal shell (like Alpha), a small
revolution for the giant but a mandatory revolution to align
with high quality standards of competition. The second
(Galaxy Edge) could largely be inspired by the Galaxy Edge
who has done much talking. It would thus be provided with one or two edges
curved dynamic, which would be posted information
 additional.

The curved shape present on the invitation also seems to confirm that Samsung will
indeed (finally) play the card of the breakdown in terms of design.

Our colleagues from ZDNet Korea got their hands on a shot from a South Korean distributor that seems to confirm the rumors. He directed two variations S6: the classic version and the version with Edge curved edge. it would be their curved edges and also has an aluminum frame, say our colleagues based on an internal source at Samsung.

S6 should also improve safety by providing a
new fingerprint sensor, understands the ever knowledgeable SamMobile.
It must be said that this component in the S5 has quickly shown
some ergonomic limitations. The obligation to move his finger
 indeed often causes mistakes.

In addition to this design, the latest rumors, the S6 is equipped
 a screen 5 or 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels), a chip
 64-bit Exynos 7420 eight cores, a GPU Mali-T760, supported by 3 GB
RAM. Android 5.0 would be found, 32GB of storage and a camera 20
 megapixels.

As for prices, according AndroidPIT This S6 could be the most expensive smartphones marketed by the giant. The Galaxy S6 is available in three versions: 32, 64 and 128 GB sold respectively 749, 849 and 949 euros. The Edge S would be available to 849 euros (32 GB), 949 euros (64 GB) or 1,049 euros (128 GB).
