Apple and Samsung have been asked by Judge Lucy Koh, who arbitrates their unraveled in San Jose, to confine their attacks to patent infringement to ten aircraft each. The two companies have until next February to achieve a new trial holding a month later.

Currently, each manufacturer has a list of 22 devices that infringe their respective intellectual property. Both lists are eloquent: Samsung accuses all iOS devices (except the first iPhone came out in 2007 and the first two generations of iPod touch) and all Mac violate its patents, while Apple does the same with tablets and the most popular South Korean smartphones. Only notable absent, the Galaxy S4 coming out … and should soon be part of the product under investigation.

As noted by Florian Mueller of FOSS Patents, the Cupertino company believes that the Galaxy S4 infringed its patents and that, in fact, she added his file. Can not increase the number of products under investigation beyond 22 to 1 selection will be reduced to 10 to end – it will take the place of another device that will be removed from the list. Samsung did the same with the iPhone 5 just days after its release, it was added to the case (read: Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 released, the iPhone 5 against).
