Burger King offers customers a Samsung Galaxy under HTC Sense – LesMobiles.com

When a brand tries to mobile marketing do not know anything about this case, this sometimes leads to awkward situations. Burger King will soon learn the hard way. Sometimes it is better just to make Whoppers.

Weekend. The weekend is fast approaching. Full search of subjects to liven up your afternoon, we came across several articles that deal with a marketing campaign at Burger King that deserves a look. The American parent company has decided to offer a smartphone to customers in exchange for the subscription (or renewal) of a subscription (Sprint or Verizon) with two-year commitment. The subscription content (and price) of course differs depending on the selected telephone. But when it comes to identifying the phone, we have some concerns.

S5 Galaxy Mini running Sense 3.5

The above photo was posted by a user Reddit. You will see a visibly Galaxy smartphone range (we bet on the chassis of the Galaxy S5 or S5 Galaxy Mini that we recently tested). It is powered by the Android system dressed in a (very) old version of HTC Sense (witness the Android Market icon behind the head of bugdroid). So old that we had to go back a long time back: it’s Sense 3.5 above Gingerbeard (aka Android 2.3). We are still at KitKat 4.4.4 and Sense 6.0. A smartphone running Gingerbread yet been marketed surprises us. Whether it’s a Samsung more. But it is fitted with Sense makes us skeptical.

Galaxy Mini S5 iOS 8

Our curiosity spurred and smirk, we we make on the official site for the process to obtain smartphone. And what is our surprise! The Galaxy S5 is here proposed another version. The visual below is a screenshot made by us. And this time, no Android, despite the presence of Bugdroid visually. It’s downright iOS (version 7 or 8) that appears here, as evidenced by the icons in the notification bar. So either the campaign was carried out internally and marketing team sorely lacks a geek. Either it is designed by an agency and we advise them to change before going to really ridiculous.

But you do not expect to offer Saint Lazare station in Paris a smartphone (as curious be it) trapped between the steak and salad leaf of a Whopper. The operation is reserved for American consumers. And just because we know you’re curious, here’s the list of real terminals to which the offer: Samsung Galaxy S4 and S4 Mini, Motorola Droid Ultra, LG G2, G VIsta, Lucid 3 and G3 Vigor, HTC One Remix One (E8) and three hardened Kyocera smartphone.
