The hipworks site has dismantled the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge and took the opportunity to list the various components used.

The first thing we can say is a big part of the components comes from Samsung plants. Architecture (Samsung Exynos 7420) but also the RAM (Samsung K3RG3G30MM-DGCH LPDDR4 3 GB SDRAM), flash memory (Samsung KLUBG4G1BD 32GB NAND Flash), WiFi chip (Samsung Electro-Mechanics 3853B5) and the modem (Samsung Shannon 333) and the NFC controller.
It is also noted that the tactile part was provided STMicroelectronics, instead of the usual Synaptics. The audio is managed by Maxim (MAX98505 Class Audio DG) and Wolfson (WM1840 audio codec).
In any case, the imposing list of components manufactured by Samsung demonstrates the voracious appetite of the market leader telephony.
