The best of all worlds? Samsung will soon launch the TabPro S, a 12-inch tablet thin, lightweight and features a sumptuous AMOLED screen. Associated with a detachable keyboard, it turns Windows 10.
At Samsung, we used to associate the brand Galaxy Android system. It will soon be dealing with a newcomer who abandons the Google operating system in favor of Windows 10. This TabPro S, unveiled Tuesday at the CES in Las Vegas, which still retains the charm of most of the current mobile shelves: passive cooling (no fan), an extremely compact design (6.3 mm thick) and a measured weight (693 grams). It is also adorned with a beautiful AMOLED screen with 2160 x 1440 pixels by 12 inches (30.5 cm).
TabPro take place in a S shaped protective keyboard, foldable and able to provide support through a magnetic attachment. All very fine and wants to self: allow the battery up to 10 hours, says Samsung. The exact configuration is not specified, but the South Korean evokes an Intel Core M processor, a partner in the basic version with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB of flash memory for storage. The whole turns a Windows 10 without overlay. However, a small utility provides integration in the Galaxy range: it should be possible to pair the tablet to Samsung’s smartphone to unlock via the fingerprint reader latter
At first glance, Samsung. with his TabPro S offers a well finished tablet, capable of competing with the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 in the Windows world and position itself in front of the Apple iPad Pro. Small downside: the physical connection is limited to a single port USB Type-C, and it will go through the purchase of accessories box to expand it. Samsung promises here an extension shaped cradle (for example to have an HDMI output or extra USB ports) and a C-type adapter to a USB full-size (Type-A). A stylus is also marketed as an option straight from the tablet, scheduled for February. It should also be offered in versions WiFi and 4G / LTE. No price has for the moment been submitted
