With a score of 3/10 and a screen that breaks at the slightest repair, the Galaxy S7 just released by Samsung is not really a smartphone that wants to repair.
If you just got your Galaxy 7, you’d better not let him down in a sudden movement of excitement. iFixit, the US site that is dedicated to offer guides to disassemble and repair almost all technology objects of the world has delivered its first verdict on repair possibilities of the new Samsung spearhead, tested by our FrAndroid colleagues just yesterday: it is a 3/10. To put this note in context, a Galaxy S6 received a 4/10 when an iPhone 6S, even with his late error 53, receives a score of 7/10 for repairability. Yes, the service, Apple is quite a good student.
But why Samsung Galaxy S7 perd- there a point from the top model of the year? Because the Korean, wanting to improve all components of the S7 to the ultimate Android smartphone, has also been working hard on glue and adhesive materials to connect the components together. To give you an idea of the level, iFixit noticed that if you want to change the micro USB port, you’ll probably break the screen (which must be removed for this operation). In the same vein, if you want to replace the broken window of the S7, you will destroy the screen in the same operation.
The battery is firmly secured inside the smartphone but is not necessary this year to remove the motherboard to separate the body of the unit. According to the website, all that glue and these adhesives have a dual function: put off repairers who will refer clients to the official service, but more legitimate, waterproof the S7 which is sold as a smartphone waterproof to IP68. The only good point in this picture is the presence of some components that can detach without having to go through complex processes.
In short, do not break your Galaxy S7
