After the announcement of the update to Android 4.4 LG G2 KitKat to its customers (see SFR says Android 4.4 on the LG G2 happen in January 2014), SFR had indicated that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 will receive the upgrade to the last major version of Google’s operating system from the month of January 2014.
To refresh your memory, the Galaxy S4 was announced to last April, and was shipped with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean before being recently updated to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. For its part, the Galaxy Note 3 was launched in the month of September with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean pre-installed.
Not only it is a confirmation of the update to Android 4.4 for the Galaxy S4 KitKat and Galaxy Note 3 SFR but also provides a more accurate date or month, but that all the same be located between the end of January and mid-February. As you probably know, the telephone operators often take longer to make available an update on a device purchased from them on a naked version (without subscription), so it is quite possible that the naked version of both devices receive Android 4.4 before the end of January.
Anyway, we hope that this new update will arrive soon in other operators, and it will not be delayed in turn, as was the case with the LG G2 because I remind you that SFR had already announced in December an update to Android 4.4 KitKat LG G2, but the publication was quickly removed, before being corrected and delivered in line with the January 2014 instead of December 2013.
