Galaxy S6: both sides are curved – CNET France

Galaxy S6: both sides are curved

Two Galaxy S6, one Edge version? Actually no, if one believes qualified sources “reliable” HDBlog the Italian site that has already had some information previewed in the past.

The version of “Edge” of the future flaship in reality would be the only model presented by Samsung. Unlike the Galaxy Note Edge, both sides of the smartphone would be curved, but less markedly than on the Edge Note so as not to affect the grip of the machine explains the site. The thing would have the added advantage of being suitable for both right- and left-handers.

Aluminium?

In addition, and this is an equally important novelty, the chassis of the phone would be carved from a single block of aluminum. This is a recurring rumor but it becomes a bit more credible this year with the arrival of the Galaxy Alpha, which, however, has as aluminum edging, the back remaining plastic.

However, this poses a problem that must be addressed before taking this rumor at face value: the use of this material likely to require some supply difficulties, and also applies to the curved screen. Samsung already having trouble getting out enough plates for its rating Edge – though a small series – how does the firm will be able to produce millions of copies of S6

Samsung however have some time left since the Italian claim that the smartphone will be presented in the second quarter, a more credible date as the Advanced CES yesterday.
