The Los Angeles Galaxy increased its unbeaten run to nine matches in the night from Sunday to Monday, with a draw at home against San Jose Earthquakes (1-1). Marvell Wynne opened the scoring against his side in the 83rd minute for the Galaxy, while Fatai Alashe equalized four minutes later. LA is in 5th place in the West, just outside San Jose.
Portland, the defending champion, ended its run of three straight defeats, by winning against Vancouver (4-2) thanks to goals from Valeri, McInerney, Asprilla and Nagbe.
