There are fifteen days, I mentioned that Samsung was preparing 5 high-end smartphones for the year 2017 from this list, there is one that everyone expects is the Samsung Galaxy X . for those who were not yet aware, this is a smartphone that would have a foldable screen or roll. Thanks to SlashGear, we learn a little more about the progress on the Korean manufacturer this. in fact, during a trade fair in San Diego, Samsung introduced a foldable screen prototype rollable and functional well.

After the Galaxy Note Edge with a curved screen on one side and the Galaxy S6 Edge / Edge + S6 and S7 Edge feature curved screen on each side, Samsung once again demonstrates the innovative nature of its products. one would expect to see drawings or pictures of the screen as but not expected, Samsung has done things as they should be presenting a very functional rollable display. We see a screen AMOLED 5.7 “that wraps and takes place with a visible mechanism.

In addition to introduce an innovative device, it displays stunning images (Full HD), all on a support only 0.3mm thick and weighs 5g .

by cons, SlashGear says that these features do not take account of the extra thickness to provide for functions related to touch. use Yep, this first prototype is not yet touch. the final product will be thicker. this also leads to other questions: the screen of the final device will he not also flexible Probably will he also “durable” than the screens of our current smartphones the subject of resistance concerns?.? as the screen mechanism that will probably be put to the test.

It is therefore only a prototype but it lets us predict full of wonderful things for the future. Samsung could very well adapt this process for smartphone screens, tablets but why not for any medium on which an image may be displayed. So why not imagine larger screens like a TV screen for example. I will see in my living room a screen that would wrap to disappear when not in use. For now, I prefer to ignore the question of price but it will happen sooner or later.
