There are a few months a photo showing a smartphone with a curved screen edge surfaced on the Web. At the time, rumors indicate that it might be the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 . However, this image is quickly forgotten, the little world of the media thinking it was probably a visual concept that dare not speak its name. And against all odds, at a time when it has become impossible task for a manufacturer of smartphone secrecy about its upcoming products, the Galaxy Note Edge managed to sneak under the radar to rumors. So it was a real surprise yesterday when Samsung unveiled this phablette. Present at the announcement, we were able to operate the camera at leisure.
Here we will dwell mainly on the curve of this new screen Galaxy Note Edge, because for the rest, its features turn out exactly the same to those of the Galaxy Note 4 which we have already proposed a grip . The right side is indeed partially occupied by the curved screen while the left remains a classic foolproof. Remember that what is special about this screen is the fact that unlike the Galaxy Round screens and LG G Flex which in turn are completely bent, the Edge is curved on its right edge. Clearly, the flat display is classic in its use while the inclined part operates independently of the main screen.
With this unique display technology, Samsung is therefore trying a new exercise style. The curved edge can act as a control panel and notification. Standby, it displays the time and date, so that we can see the sitting or lying down. The manufacturer also showed examples where the buttons on the camera or media player were deported this curved screen to take full advantage of the interface without distracting elements.
As mentioned above, this area falls perfectly under the thumb of the right hand and immediately shows perfectly ergonomic.
