Galaxy S7: first test photo – CNET France

 Galaxy S7: first test photo

After the Galaxy S6 praised for their photographic capabilities, Samsung took a risk by reviewing in depth this part of the S7. Fewer pixels, with only 12 million, against 16 previously, but also the largest with 1.4 microns against 1.12 previously. That’s in theory what capture maximum light and improve rendering in low light, an argument that the firm repeated at will. This is the theory, but what about practice?

We went on the brand’s booth at MWC where, to demonstrate the photographic capabilities of the phone, it has set up a barely lit room. ideal device to show that the marketing pitch, is not that … marketing. side by side, a Galaxy S7 and S6 Galaxy take the same shot to reflect photographic performance. By negotiating a bit, the firm has wanted us to send the photos taken by the Galaxy S7. She however refused that we do for the Galaxy S6.

We will draw the conclusion that we want, but we must believe that the firm has frankly feel that immediately comparing the two terminals. Yet it was clear that the S7 was better than the low brightness S6. We can thus assume that the firm has had to make concessions on other less obvious points. Without thrushes, blackbirds eat; So we publish here the pictures of the Galaxy S7 to the side of those of our iPhone 6.

The images speak for themselves. In low light, the Galaxy S7 gives a much higher result than the iPhone 6. On the stand, if the Samsung cliché is generally best. The colors on the other hand tend to be too saturated, which can give a somewhat artificial side shot. Rest at the end of this first test, albeit under conditions to be favorable to the Korean, it seems that Samsung has not lied about the goods, although it will confirm it in more comprehensive testing.
