a little less than a year after the release of the Galaxy S6, which competed with the iPhone 6 from Apple, Samsung unveiled Sunday 22 February its new model of high-end smartphone. The South Korean manufacturer has presented at the Mobile World Exhibition (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona Galaxy S7 and Edge version with curved display, two models that will be sold respectively from 699 euros and 799 euros.
both devices have a waterproof case supposed to protect them from water and dust, and their screen size from 5.1 inches to 5.5 inches Galaxy S7 for version 7 , in line with the size of smartphones launched just by the south Korean giant.
the return of the microSD slot
Operating with Marshmallow last version of the mobile operating system Android (Google), the two smartphones sign the back of the microSD card slot, which can increase the phone’s memory. Last year, this possibility was removed from the Galaxy S6, to the chagrin of some users wanting to store a lot of music or videos. The basic storage space of the Galaxy S7 will go from 32 GB to 128 GB.
Regarding the performance, the two smartphones are equipped with 4 GB of RAM. The phones sold outside the United States will be equipped with the new eight processor cores Exynos 8890 SoC, presented earlier this year by Samsung.
Both models come out simultaneously in Europe and the US on March 11, and pre-orders will open on 23 February.
