The Galaxy S7 Edge practically embeds what is best in this time hardware side. A photo sensor 12MP (f / 1.7) with phase-detection autofocus and stabilizer OIS. The front sensor is a 5 MP (f / 1.7). The screen is 2.5-D-type, curved 5.5-inch 2560×1440 pixels. The processor is a Samsung eight cores accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. For storage, it has 32 scalable GB by microSD card.
connectivity side, there is the 4G (LTE Cat 9), WiFi MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC … By cons, Samsung has not yet integrated the new USB format and merely micro USB 2.0. The battery is a 3600 mAh with fast charge and the phone has of course a fingerprint sensor. Best of all, it is (again) sealed, IP 68 certified.

Getting Started
The Edge S7 measure 150,9×72,6×7,7 mm and weighs 157 g. Despite its size, the phone is taken well in hand thanks to its relative thinness and its nice design. The screen size has increased between the two generations. If it remains the same in the S6 S7 (5.1 inches), the Edge goes meanwhile from 5.1 to 5.5 inches.
Bright and well contrasted, the S7′s screen Edge has the famous curved edges. In the sidebar, positioned to the left or right, you can add useful information (weather, calendar …) or shortcuts … Not necessary, but helpful when you took the shot.
Design
Aesthetically, this S7 Edge is a real success. It differs very little from its predecessor. The combination of the metal bracket and back glass is the most beautiful effect, even if it is obviously very sensitive to fingerprints. The photo sensor exceeds still a little in the back, but there’s nothing embarrassing.

this is obviously one of the main uses of a smartphone today. By choosing a sensor (Sony) with fewer pixels, Samsung promotes size of photosites and therefore better sensitivity in low light.
If one refers to DxOMark, an authority in the world of digital photography, the Edge S7 is simply the best camera phone of the moment. 88 pts, beating the Galaxy S6 Edge + and the Xperia Z5 (87 pts). Behind, there is the V Galaxy Note and the Galaxy S6 Edge (86 pts) and iPhone 6S + and Nexus 6P (84 pts).
In practice, the S7 Edge comes out very well most situations. Even a day-cons do not scare him with the HDR option. You almost want to miss the photo. Autofocus is fast as the trigger. Small regret, Samsung has not added physical button like Sony for example.
Battery
On paper, the S7 Edge could easily take two days. In practice, this is another matter. First, because it depends on the use that is made, but also all settings (push email, GPS, Bluetooth, Always on display, WiFi …)
