Samsung is currently working on a Galaxy A9, a more powerful variation of the Galaxy A8 presented this summer. However, it is unclear whether this device will have to cross the borders of China
In July, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A8 (in illustration of this news), a mid-range smartphone fine marketed only in China and India. A smartphone that has the particularity to regain all-metal design of Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 released in the beginning of the year and some elements of high-end smartphones of the Korean brand, such as a fingerprint sensor or sensor photo 16 MP.
If one believes the always well informed SamMobile, Samsung is currently working on its successor, the Galaxy A9. If nothing is yet known of its design, a first benchmark on AnTuTu just fuiter and we already know some of its data sheet. The Galaxy A9, or SM-A9000, so would have a screen of 5.5 inch Full HD which is supposed Super AMOLED, a Snapdragon 620 SoC (MSM8976) supported by an Adreno 510 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory. It is not yet known how many megapixels the camera, but it’s a safe bet that they are 16 in number, like the Galaxy A8 or recent Galaxy S6. It is also assumed that a fingerprint sensor will be present.
SamMobile think the Galaxy A9 should not be marketed before “ three or four months .” What seems quite logical, since it is very likely that Samsung so at the beginning of next year the successors of the Galaxy A3, A5 and A7. The Galaxy A9 then would position as the best smartphone equipped with this range of midrange phones … But also undoubtedly be a very expensive phone sold.
