Samsung will market two versions of the Galaxy S7 each with a different screen size: the Galaxy and the Galaxy Classic S7 S7 Edge.
The rumors are accelerating with the approach of the release date of the Galaxy S7. The South Korean newspaper and Electronic News has unveiled new information: The new Samsung phone should be sold in two different versions upon its release in March 2016. Each model will have its own screen size.
Two screen sizes for the Galaxy S7
Samsung therefore resume the strategy employed by Apple with the iPhone and the iPhone 6 6 Plus. The first model would be a Galaxy S7 “classic” flat screen with a diagonal of 5.2 inches. There is a slight increase of 0.1 inches compared to the Galaxy S6.
It would be accompanied right out of a Galaxy model with S7 Edge curved edges, like the Galaxy S6 Edge. Its screen is bigger than the classic version, with a diagonal of 5.5 inches. This size would allow it to rival that of the iPhone 6 Plus.
5 million Galaxy S7 on sale
In addition, Samsung announced the production of 5 million units in the first instance: 3 3 million for the classic version and 1.6 million for the Edge release. Indeed, with the release of Galaxy S6, the South Korean firm had not anticipated quite strong demand. The model S6 Edge had found so quickly out of stock, resulting in a significant shortfall.
Samsung table for 2016 on sales of 400 million smartphones, an identical number, or slightly lower than in 2015 and relies on the output of Galaxy S7 to achieve this goal.
