The Korean group could launch another smartphone with screen stretched on the slices after the Galaxy Note Edge last year, the Galaxy S6 Edge earlier this year and before derived from a smartphone Galaxy range in September.
Yet only one to offer a stretched display onto the sides of smartphones, with the Edge Galaxy Note in September 2014 and then the Galaxy S6 Edge in early March, the Korean manufacturer Samsung should continue to honor this type of screen on a model known by the code name Project Zen alongside a phablet Galaxy Note 5 in September.
However, the manufacturer may propose another smartphone screen with Edge meantime. Korean source, Samsung curved displays produce quantities compatible with the preparation of a new smartphone.
By extending its capabilities production of curved screens to meet demand generated by the Galaxy smartphone S6 Edge, the group therefore have sufficient volumes to propose a new model.
This could be announced before the IFA 2015 in Berlin and the presentation of Galaxy Note 5 and the successor to the Galaxy Note Edge.
It remains to be seen whether an increase in the number of smartphones with screens do not stretched too quickly may weaken the novelty effect and except as may be the Galaxy Note and Galaxy models S6 Edge Edge.
