Galaxy S6 and preinstalled apps: disable failing to uninstall – Clubic

The Samsung Galaxy S6 embark as usual interface TouchWiz house and several preinstalled applications, but for the first time we can make disappear a number.

Until the presentation of Galaxy S6 at the last Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015), it was expected that Samsung takes his foot on customization of the Android interface, it approaches the “experiment Google” Nexus.

In reality it is not so: we find the TouchWiz UI user interface, brought up to date to match the new aesthetic codes Material Design inducted by Google with Android 5.0 Lollipop. And there is no interface with the house that Samsung Google Nexus stands out. A multitude of house or third-party applications are pre-installed as usual

Nevertheless, there was a welcome improvement. The end user can now make disappear a number of preinstalled applications, either partners such as Google or Microsoft applications, or applications with redundant house features built into Android (like Samsung S Voice facing Google Now). This is what demonstrates a member of the XDA Developers community that has got hold of a Galaxy Edge S6 in preview.

Unfortunately, you can not uninstall them all. For the most part you can only disable them, which is to make disappear their icon. It does not reclaim storage space provided. Note also that users who do not appreciate the original TouchWiz interface can choose other themes including different icons.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will be a reminder for sale in France and in Europe on 10 April, the 700 and 850 euros for the 32GB models.
