While the market for smartphones hardened slowly begins to bottling, Samsung Announces New Galaxy Xcover. The Xcover 3 has the usual features of this kind of extreme phones. It has passed with flying colors tests standard tests US Army MIL-STD-810 shows Protection Factor 67 (it can be immersed in a meter of water less than half an hour) and embeds physical buttons to be more easily used with gloves. Samsung makes, unfortunately, very little information on its exterior and hull. We therefore do not know what materials has the phone or resistance of the screen.

The datasheet is however quite far from the top names of the genre, like the last Kyocera. Samsung has thus been content to a 4.5-inch screen with a tiny definition (WVGA, from 480 × 800 pixels), a small unknown brand processor clocked 1.2 GHz (one Snapdragon 410?) supported by 1.5 GB of RAM and a battery of 2200 mAh , which should ensure good battery life.

The Galaxy Xcover 3 displays respectable dimensions 132.9 × 70.1 × 9.95 mm and weighs 154 grams. It is installed on Android KitKat, will ship 8GB of internal memory expandable with micro-SD card. Photo Two sensors are present on the front and back of the device, respectively 2 and 5 MP with a feature to take pictures under water.

It is not yet know the price and the release date of the Galaxy Xcover 3. The smartphone will be presented for the first time by Samsung at the CeBit, living to be held in Hanover, Germany, next week.
