Galaxy S6 vs. Edge iPhone 6, HTC One M8 and Galaxy S5: Test … – Phonandroid

During the presentation of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, there is one point on which Samsung has greatly expanded. The photo sensor 16 megapixels shipped by the two phones display a f / 1 .9 , which should allow it to offer excellent low-light performance.

If until now we had no concrete evidence of its performance, finally today we have a first point of comparison of this new sensor compete. The US site PhoneArena has indeed achieved a kind of pretest Galaxy photo sensor S6 Edge face three smartphones that are none other than the iPhone 6, the Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8.

As you will observe, the first test is very basic and is limited to a single image captured successively with four phones in the same conditions. With its aperture of f / 1.9, the Galaxy S6 Edge photo sensor is able to capture more light as its competitors, allowing it to offer better pictures in low light.

In this case, it is true that the level of image detail seems very high but it was also satisfactory on the Galaxy S5 and the results obtained not the other two smartphones are far from catastrophic . As usual, it will take to see a little more before you can get a first idea but the first picture remains encouraging. As PhoneArena precise, at the request of Samsung, this first test was performed without flash .
