Air Canada bans the Galaxy Note 7 Samsung – Le Figaro

The airline Air Canada announced Saturday that it prohibited completely the smartphone Galaxy Note 7 Samsung aboard commercial aircraft because of fire risk.
“The passengers will not be allowed to board Air Canada aircraft, Air Canada Rouge and Air Canada Express with a Galaxy Note 7 Samsung on their person or in their baggage,” said the largest air carrier of Canada in a press release.

To avoid the potential “inconvenience” caused by the ban, the company has put in place a policy to allow passengers to take another flight without “penalty”.

The giant south Korean Samsung had announced Tuesday the total stop of the production of its smartphone Galaxy Note 7, reports of security problems persistent with respect to risks of explosion of the device.
