Galaxy S8 : Samsung would remove the Home button 01net.com

After the setbacks in the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung will need to regild his blazon. The Galaxy S8 could well be the device that will come to his aid, because this smartphone is expected to benefit from changes to major design, reports the Korean news.

For starters, Samsung would remove the physical Home button. It would be replaced by a virtual button, either directly in the screen or in the form of function. This would leave a front entirely of glass, the areas of upper and lower disappearing at the same time. The Galaxy S8 would then have a Amoled display which is modular over the whole of the front face of the smartphone, while still offering a screen turning on the slices that are the trademark of the latest high-end devices of the brand. The fingerprint reader would be, for its part, built in to the screen.

Double photo sensor and chip etched by 10 nm

Another interesting piece of information, the S8 would be the first of the Galaxy to take advantage of a dual sensor photo (16 and 8 Mpix). The representative of a component manufacturer explains that the trademark in south korea has made its decision and that it only remains to decide on the process that will be used : a module all-in-one as the P9 Huawei or two sensors with different functions, such as on the G5 from LG.

Finally, the Korean news reported on the presence of a processor-etched by 10 nm, a information that had already been the subject of a previous rumor last July. This time, the Snapdragon 830 Qualcomm is cited. It should equip one-half of the production, the other with an Exynos processor it also etched by 10 nm.

A previous rumor had alluded to an anticipated launch of the smartphone to try and forget the setbacks in the Galaxy Note 7, but the many changes in technology may finally make the perilous operation. Samsung will very probably be extremely attentive to the quality of its next device, which could ultimately put its presentation and its output in the usual time, respectively in February and march 2017.
