The new smartphones Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Galaxy now have their own version of virtual reality headset Samsung Gear VR. Samsung announces its availability in France.
Galaxy Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge host the virtual reality helmet Gear VR. As with the headset for the Galaxy Note 4, Samsung has designed this Gear in partnership with Oculus VR. The manufacturer took care of the hardware and Oculus virtual reality applications.
The Korean company does not limit itself to adapt its old model of VR Gear on Galaxy S6 . The virtual reality helmet has been optimized for the Super AMOLED screen of 5.1 inches on both smartphones and has undergone some changes. This new version is 15% smaller than the one designed for the Galaxy Note 4.
The headset is comfortable and easy to wear. Its dimensions are 196.1 x 98.5 x 82.8 mm against 198 x 116 x 90 mm for the model Note 4. The strap has also been redesigned to make the helmet more stable. It also has an anti-fog treatment.
The Gear VR for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Galaxy can now be powered via the microUSB port to extend your virtual reality experience.
Samsung has entrusted the Oculus to develop content. All applications can be downloaded from the Oculus Store.
