G5 LG and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, which is the most powerful? – Geeks and Com ‘

LG G5 Samsung Galaxy S7 Benchmark

LG and Samsung have introduced their high-end devices for the new year, the time to compare products we came. were able to spend several days with both devices in order to make comprehensive tests, but this article is to answer a question that all benchmarks lovers arise: which is the most powerful

. have therefore conducted a series of tests in 3DMark applications, PCMark and Geekbench 3 to compare the scores of the devices. The versions tested are a Galaxy S7 with its Exynos processor 8890 and the LG G5 and its Snapdragon 820 or variants available in France and Canada.

First benchmark, which focuses on the graphic part of devices, in their native resolution. Both devices were tested with 3D Mark application for the Sling Shot game with ES 3.1 G5 LG and Samsung Galaxy S7 depart here on an equal footing in terms of resolution, since both have a Quad HD screen 1440 x 2560.

We note a clear advance in this test for the LG G5 left, which manages to display a larger number of frames per second in the computed 3D sequence. The sequence is not as fluid, since often remains below 20 frames per second, but it’s still better than the Galaxy S7 on this test, which was often closer to 15 frames per second .

the PCMark application simulates various everyday uses of the device, be it word processing, photo editing, web browsing or viewing videos. After performing all of these tasks, the application assigns a score to the device, based on overall performance obtained.

You can see that in this second test also, the LG G5 always located left, gets a better score than the Samsung Galaxy S7. Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, which is here the party sought primarily in the appliance, is doing so much better than the Samsung Exynos 8890 from the level of computing power.

s’ is one of the fastest tests to perform and many expect to determine the power of a device. The test Geekbench provides a good overview of the raw power of the processor in a device, assigning a score in single-core operation and another when all processor cores are stressed.

In this last test this is the Samsung Galaxy S7, on the right, who takes the lead, with a higher score when all cores are used. The result is not surprising when we know that the Samsung processor has 8 cores, 4 against the Snapdragon 820 LG. When only one heart is stressed, the LG G5 is however doing better, with a score of 2288 against 2063 for the Galaxy S7.

As it stands, it is difficult to determine which of the two devices is the king of performance. The Galaxy S7 is doing very well at the raw power of the processor, while the LG G5 is doing better in terms of graphics.

One thing is certain, the two devices are very powerful and demonstrate in everyday use very satisfactory flow for high-current range. The choice between the two models therefore should not ultimately be power side, but in terms of functionality or design.
