After testing the Galaxy S7 edge, we tackled the Galaxy S7 classic with its flat screen and especially to those who are always looking for a top smartphone range but in a volume more content. With a screen of 5.1 “, the Galaxy S7 offers the same size as an iPhone 6 / Apple 6s.

As for the Galaxy S7 edge, the MicroSD slot is indeed back for our pleasure. With an internal memory of 8GB to 32GB which are occupied by Android and TouchWiz, support for MicroSD cards is a real plus for the storage of its multimedia content. By cons, as a reminder, Samsung has opted not to support the Storage Adoptable Google technology.
As a reminder, Adoptable Storage allows merging the smartphone’s internal memory with a memory card. The advantage is that it allows you to have a single internal memory and this, transparently to the user since it is Android 6.0 which will manage at best. The downside is that if your memory card is not fast genre, it could possibly slow your smartphone. The Design

the screen and sound

a side and no big surprise, the Samsung Galaxy S7 screen is simply excellent. The display is impressive finesse. With OLED technology, you guessed it, blacks are very deep and the colors jump out at you. And we know for a few generations, Samsung is doing with honors in color. Colorimetry is perfectly mastered. The viewing angles are very good and I did not have any problem of visibility in bright sunlight. A new benchmark with the Galaxy S6 last year.
Because it’s a flat screen, you will not have the feeling to have an image that comes out of the screen as the Galaxy S6 edge / edge and + Galaxy S7 edge. Similarly, no Edge UX function. Now, honestly, as the aesthetics of the S7 edge may miss, so the Edge UX function, I had turned off anyway.
in terms of multimedia speaker, as you can see, there is on the bottom edge, like on the Galaxy S7 edge. as for the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S7 supports HD Audio as proposed increasing its competitors. Samsung always offers the Ultra High Quality Audio (UHQ Upscaler , UHQ-BT Codec) and the presence of an equalizer for better sound processing. I am not a specialist either and I’m sure that most audiophiles of you will find a use more in keeping with what offers Samsung. on the side of the application is fairly standard in the absolute, except it is not installed by default, download the app Samsung Music if you do not use Google Play Music, installed by default. Note especially that Samsung still offers navigation through folders. as for the sound quality during phone conversations, I have no particular problem and I got to clear conversations and a good reception general.

the Samsung Galaxy S7 offers a battery of 3000mAh and obviously fast charging and the wireless charging Qi-compatible and PMA (PowerMat). As you can imagine, the wired charging will go much faster than wireless charging. With the supplied charger, going from 0% to 100% in less than 90 minutes by Wired, this is awesome! autonomy, all of course depends on your usage . As was the case with the Galaxy S7 edge, I held a day without problems and I’m sure you can easily take on the day and a half or more. I used the Galaxy S7 in the same way connected with Gear S2 but also the Parrot Zik 3 for music and all the multimedia side.
Regarding autonomy benchmarks, the Galaxy S7 necessarily in doing with honors but the big problem of these benchmarks is that they are not the reflect a real daily use. as we have seen with our tests the autonomy varies between weekdays and weekends. So, it was found that during the weekend, with more use WiFi and video, Galaxy S7 showed excellent battery life, much better than a week with usage around emails, web, social networks and more.
