gradually Disappearing in favor of Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S5 has been available in a version “Neo” adopting technical specifications almost identical to that of the original S5.
While most 2015 flagships sell poorly, some because of overheating problems, others because of the unjustified price difference with the older generation, Samsung, who banked everything on its Galaxy S6 to recover market share, recently formalized the Galaxy S5 Neo. Intended to supplement the Galaxy S6, not compete with, the S5 Neo will be marketed at a much lower rate than the latter. With nearly 200 € difference, but also a big difference technically, the Galaxy S5 Neo should not shadow the Galaxy S6 and simply take over the original Galaxy S5, taking up almost all its data sheet, except for one detail: the processor
Not surprisingly, the Galaxy S5 Neo is hinged around a slab of 5.1 “displaying a Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels), which differentiates it from the Galaxy S6 has, meanwhile, a slab Quad HD (2560 × 1440 pixels) better defined. Powered by an Exynos 7580 chipset with eight cores and 1.6 GHz, the Galaxy S5 Neo therefore differs from the original S5 equipped, for its part, an Exynos 5422 (or 801 Snapdragon according declination and the country of marketing). The chipset is still supported by 2GB of RAM and internal storage tops out at 16GB, but with the ability to insert a Micro SD card in the device. Besides compatibility with WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS, the Galaxy S5 Neo is obviously compatible with 4G LTE.
Powered by 2800 mAh battery and run by Android 5.1 Lollipop, the Galaxy S5 Neo will be available soon on the market for less than 450 €, attractive rates but remains slightly higher against the competition. Of course, the Neo Galaxy S5 adopts the same design as the original model and is seen with a 16 megapixel back camera, identical to the original S5.
