Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge: the 128 GB version withdrawn in India – LesMobiles.com

samsung

The 128 GB version of the flagships of the Korean manufacturer has been withdrawn from the market in India, probably because of a too low level of sales. If the products are high-end, their very high price seems however restrict the number of potential buyers.

If the two flagships are available in three different versions (32, 64 and 128 GB), Samsung has not made all models in some markets. In France, for example, only the 32GB version of the Galaxy S6 is marketed. For the Galaxy Edge S6, all versions have finally landed on our shelves, since the Samsung store proposes, as everywhere in Europe.

Some countries, like India, have had the chance to see get the 128 GB version, but it seems, as reported by the website Maktechblog that this model is no longer offered, probably because of a too low level of sales. This is to date and to our knowledge the only country affected by the disappearance of the 128 GB model. The low number of sales can be explained by the price set on the Galaxy S6 Edge 128 GB, which is, for example to 1059 euros in France. In India, consumers must pay 61,900 euros, or about 880 euros to get it. Samsung has done a little effort to adapt to the local living standards but it seems not enough

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

The two most powerful Android smartphones from AnTuTu

Note in passing that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge may be expensive but it is also very well equipped. It is also ranked in the second place of the most powerful Android smartphones in the first half of 2015 after the benchmark tool AnTuTu after … Samsung Galaxy S6.

Galaxy Edge S6 in fact has a screen of 5.1 inches Super AMOLED Quad HD (1440 × 2560 pixels) with a resolution of 577 dots per inch, under which lies a 64-bit SoC octa-core Exynos, a Mali-T760 GPU and 3GB of RAM. Photo hand, it features a 16-megapixel sensor on the back, and another 5 megapixel front for selfies. Benefiting from 4G LTE connections, Wi-Fi, GPS / AGPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1 and micro USB 2.0, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

now remains whether Samsung will apply the same pricing policy S6 for Galaxy Note and Galaxy Edge + 5, which are likely to be formalized on August 13.
