Exploding batteries: two airlines want the ban … – The Point

The Australian airline Qantas and Virgin Australia have asked Thursday to their customers not to use or load on board their flights the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to the heart of much controversy since some of these smartphones have taken fire. The South Korean giant announced last week the suspension of sales of its flagship product because of dramatic incidents involving the explosion of the battery of this phone art.

This request also applies on flights of Jetstar, the low-cost airline Qantas. Virgin Australia issued a similar statement, adding that the skippers were conducting pre-flight announcements reiterating this request.
