Successor expected for the Galaxy S7, the Galaxy S8 is already the subject of various rumors, so that its output is not supposed to intervene that at least next February. Here it is, for the time, items that have been scattered across the world wide Web.

Traditionally, the Galaxy S from Samsung are revealed when the great mass of the mobility, at MWC Barcelona, and the rumours about them are starting to bloom on the Net at the beginning of December. This year, these “information” (which emanate from sometimes the manufacturer himself, some would say) running around the Galaxy S8 reach our ears well before that.

According to some analysts, Samsung might be tempted to release its next smartphone before the scheduled date, the history of forgetting the industrial accident Galaxy Note 7 and avoid heavy spending on advertising to regild his blazon and quickly returning the confidence of investors.

A powerful processor and efficient
IF the technical sheet of the samsung Galaxy S8 is, for the time being, not yet been the subject of a leak overall, some elements are already available to the general public. The chip, which will host the next smartphone from Samsung could well be an Exynos 8895 clocked at 3 GHz and up impressive scores in Geekbench (more than 7,000 points, compared to about 5 500 points for the iPhone 7).
An increase in frequency made possible by the fine engraving used by Samsung for its chip (10 nm). A SoC, which has the advantage of only consuming little energy (less than 5 W).
Plates curved and 4K displays
last August, Dong-jin Koh, head of mobile business for Samsung, had, of course, understood that in the future, the company is betting on the declination “Edge” of its smartphones. These words seem to take shape and according to the specialized blog Phandroid, the constructor would have already ordered the screens to be its subsidiary, Samsung Display.
More precisely, Samsung Mobile would have ordered slabs, curved 5.1 and 5.5 inches, which therefore suggest that the smartphone would be always available in two sizes, but without the option of a flat screen.
This choice is obviously not the fruit of chance : the firm Strategy Analytics recently estimated that Samsung had elapsed some 8.3 million Galaxy S7 Edge in the second quarter of 2016. It is less than the iPhone 6 and 6S Apple, but better than all the other Android smartphones. The curved screen seems to be the preference of the consumers : it is on this technical choice that Samsung could capitalize.
This screen, finally, could have a definition 4K : Samsung has also shown, in may last, a 4K display of 5.5 inches at the SID 2016, in San Francisco. The builder would, therefore, seem able to propose such a slab for the Galaxy S8.
Samsung will spring to the sirens of the dual-sensor…
After HTC, LG, Huawei and Apple, Samsung could well embrace the mode of the dual sensor on its Galaxy S8. The first leaks evoke two sensors 12 and 13 megapixels, with designs due to Sony and Samsung on the other hand. One of these sensors would be particularly imposing, in the format 1/1,7 inch. What, in principle, increase the size of the photosites and offer good performance in low light.
Two sensors that will be able to count on the Exynos 8895 to take charge of the image processing, with performance assumed to be much better than those of the Galaxy S7 (70% to 80% faster).
… and deletes them (also) the jack
Then again, Samsung could follow a trend launched by the chinese manufacturer The Eco, and then recovery by Lenovo (on their Moto Z and Z Force), and especially by Apple on its iPhone 7. By removing the jack, Samsung would get a chance to respond to his rival in terms of diversification of accessories. A boon for the builders to third parties, who will be able to offer new products, that they use a port Lightning (for the iPhone), USB-C (for the Galaxy S8) or Bluetooth.
What about the price ?
To get an idea of the price of a smartphone, it is often necessary to consider those of his predecessor. And if the Galaxy S7 (32 Gb version) was marketed in its infancy 699 euros, it was 100 euros more for the declination Edge. If Samsung prefers the latter as suggested by the rumors, he can therefore expect an entrance ticket around 800 euros.
If one considers in addition to the price of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus in a 32 Gb version, which are its direct competitors, a price around 800 euros seems quite supposed to.
