The Korean company confirmed on Wednesday a delay in delivery of the Galaxy Note 7 after that smartphone users have reported explosions of their battery.
Samsung may still remain in the race with Apple? While the Korean giant was betting everything on the arrival of its new flagship, the Galaxy Note7 several battery explosion alerts have been reported, particularly in the Chinese social network Baidu.
The explosion could be due to the use of chargers “unofficial”, that Samsung has not confirmed. But the spokesman of the group, Sophia Kim, confirmed a report delivery in South Korea to conduct additional quality tests on the product in question, without mention of the alleged explosions and details of the additional wait. Since Aug. 19, nearly 400,000 smartphones Galaxy Note7 were sold there.
It is quite unusual for the manufacturer to postpone deliveries. The operation relates to the time that the three Korean operators SK Telecom Co., KT Corp. and LG Uplus Corp. In China, one of the other major markets of Samsung, no delivery delay has so far been provided.
Before they acquired this problem of explosion, Samsung rejoiced to recording its highest profit in two years, thanks to the launch of the Galaxy S7. Faced with runaway that preceded the release of the product, the production rate was struggling to keep pace with higher demand than expected.
This controversy comes at a very bad time for Samsung, engaged in the race against Apple will present its new iPhone on September 7.
