Samsung would use the new GPU from ARM in its SoC Exynos 8895, Mali-G71. The chip is expected to equip the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 and promettrait performance nearly two times higher than that of the S7.
With the Exynos 8895, that should be present in the future Samsung Galaxy S8, the Korean giant would have been able to achieve the 4 GHz frequency of operation through a burn-in of 10 nm instead of the usual 14 nm. This rumor seems to be confirmed as a senior at Samsung had been arrested by the chinese police when he was caught trying to sell confidential files to a competitor of the mark.
Mali-G71 would be two times more powerful
today, we learn a little more on the graphics part of this new SoC. In fact, the Exynos 8895 would use the Mali-G71 ARM, a GPU 1.8 times faster than the Mali-T880 MP12 which team is currently the Galaxy S7, thanks to its engraving in a 16 nm and a frequency of 850 MHz. This GPU should be more powerful than the one found in the Snapdragon 830 Qualcomm.
GPU turned towards the 4K and the VR
Mali-G71 uses the Bifrost, the new architecture adapted to virtual reality, which also allows you to reach the 120 frames per second in 4K. Added to this is the compatibility with Vulkan, OpenGL ES 3.2, GPU Compute APIS, and the Android RenderScript.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 will use this chip
This is a very good news for the new Samsung Galaxy S8, since it should be equipped. Still a good reason to wait for the smartphone from the Korean, which is expected to be announced earlier than scheduled to compensate for losses due to the recall of a billion dollars Galaxy Note 7.
