A new version of the Galaxy J1 just arrived on the Indian market and, surprise, it bears the name of an ancient line of Samsung Galaxy as it was named J1 Ace.
Samsung has simplified reading its catalog with new ranges to a letter but if you thought old would disappear completely, you were wrong. It will certainly not the case for the Ace range, whose name was eventually taken to a variation of the Galaxy J1. This has not yet been formalized but it is obviously already available in India. FoneArena even provides a few photos of the box, in addition to complete product sheet.
A barely enhanced version of Galaxy J1
The Galaxy Ace J1 is unfortunately closer to the Galaxy J1 as the latest Galaxy Ace. From the latter, it finally resumes the screen. This is a Super AMOLED 4.3-inch display panel 800 x 480 pixels. Too bad he did not have also resumed since configuration will be content with a dual core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz and comes with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, expandable via microSD happily.
It’s not much better on the side of connectivity. We must make a cross on 4G. The modem is limited here to HSPA +. Two SIM slots are at least present. Wi-Fi b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS round out the list. As for the photo, the equipment is the same as on the original Galaxy J1: 5 megapixel rear, 2 front. The brand, powered by a battery of 1800 mAh and animated by Android 4.4 KitKat. Lollipop even so.
(only) good news is the price as the Galaxy Ace J1 is available in India at Rs 6400, slightly less than € 90. And yet … It is better for less, even at home. Samsung probably would have done better to go directly to the Galaxy J2 …
