Samsung Galaxy S7: 820 Snapdragon performance is … – Frandroid

A new performance benchmark just appeared on Weibo, the Chinese social network. You can see the Samsung Galaxy S7 equipped, this time, a Snapdragon 820. The opportunity to discover scores of processor and graphics part of the future high-end SoC Qualcomm.

Yesterday we saw passing on the canvas the Samsung Galaxy S7 – named Lucky-LTE code – with the Exynos 8890, also called Exynos Moongoose M1. This time, it is the variant of the Galaxy S7 equipped with a Snapdragon 820 who got flashed by AnTuTu. It’s not really a surprise, since the rumors were already talking of a version with a Snapdragon 820. It is therefore possible that some markets (as in America) see happen in a Galaxy S7 when Snapdragon 820 of Other markets such as Asia will benefit from the Exynos 8890 . Still qu’AnTuTu allows us to know a little more about the performance expected from the Snapdragon 820.

The Snapdragon 820 with four cores clocked at 2.2 GHz Kryo and Adreno 530, get scores rather promising. Indeed, if the total score reaches “only” 65,775 Points (against approximately 72 000 for the Samsung Exynos 7420), the single-threaded score reached 3481 against 2149 dots on the Exynos 7420 and 2012 points on the Snapdragon 810. For the 3D part, the Adreno 530 to 23 597 points against 20 964 points for the Mali-T760 MP6 of the Exynos 7420 and 20 922 points for the Snapdragon Adreno 430 810. Snapdragon 820 appears So bring real added value compared to the Snapdragon 810 in terms of performance. Hopefully while engraving in 14 nm and architecture house allow to forget the poor integration of Snapdragon 810 Snapdragon 820 and allow to fully express themselves without being clamped in practice.

The AnTuTu sheet also allows to know a little more about the rest of the specifications. Thus, we should expect a 16 megapixel sensor, contradicting rumors yesterday announcing a 20 megapixel sensor ISOCELL. In terms of RAM, 4GB of LPDDR4 would be present and 64 GB of flash memory UFS 2.0
